GREAT MOUNTAIN FIRE is a pop band from the indie rock culture of the 90’s, but soaked with groovy beats tinged with soul/afro-funk, warm and fluid tunes, producing melodious, ethereal and dancing songs.
The band is based in Brussels and composed of five childhood friends who’ve always played together since the late 90’s: Thomas de Hemptinne (vocals, keys, guitar), Antoine Bonan (guitar, keys, vocals), Alexis Den Doncker (bass, vocals), Tommy Onraedt (synthesizers) and Morgan Vigilante (drum and percussions).
After Canopy (2011) and Sundogs (2015), the band continues to focus on the instant either recording at home or playing on stage; capturing the magic instant moment hidden inside the song beyond styles and definitions, the indescribable and frank desire to get metalheads and rappers dancing and singing good songs together at the top of their lungs, whispering in your ear that the evening will be longer than expected, especially in 2019.
GREAT MOUNTAIN FIRE est un groupe pop issu de la culture rock indie des 90’s, mais imbibé de beats groovy teintés de soul/afro-funk, bien chauds et fluides, produisant des chansons à la fois mélodieuses, éthérées et dansantes.
Basé à Bruxelles, le groupe est composé de cinq amis d'enfance qui n’ont jamais arrêté de jouer ensemble depuis leur pré-puberté : Thomas de Hemptinne (voix, claviers, guitare), Antoine Bonan (guitare, claviers, voix), Alexis Den Doncker (basse, voix), Tommy Onraedt (synthétiseurs) et Morgan Vigilante (batterie, percussions).
Auteur de deux albums, Canopy (2011) et Sundogs (2015), le groupe poursuit ses aspirations à créer l’instant tant en concert qu’à la maison ; attraper la magie du moment au delà des styles, l’indescriptible, l’envie candide de faire chanter à tue-tête à des métalleux comme à des rappeurs des bonnes chansons qui vous susurrent à l’oreille que la nuit sera peut-être plus longue que prévue, surtout en 2019.
