Parade Ground (BE)

Parade Ground are the creation of two brothers Jean-Marc and Pierre Pauly in 1981 . Considered as pionneers of the cold wave , synth pop and EBM . Their first 7" was released in 1983 produced by Daniel B and Patrick Codenys (Front 242) on the New Dance label . After various maxi singles , still produced by members of Front 242 but also by Colin Newman (Wire) , their first album is released in 1988 under the title 'Cut Up' . Parade Ground will then write and compose on two Front 242 albums ('Up evil' and 'Off') . After several years devoted to other activities , namely litterary and plastic art , the brothers make their come back in 2007 with a new album 'Rosary' produced , this time , by Patrick Codenys (Front 242) . In 2011 , a vinyl compilation album 'The Golden Years' is released on Dark Entries Records USA . 2012 : Release of a vinyl album 'The 15th Floor' including unreleased tracks from the eighties . 2014 : career-summarizing CD 'Strange World' on Infacted Recordings 'Classic Series' . The future is now !

Deleritas (BE)

Jeune groupe liégeois de musique électronique composé d'Onyx au clavier et de Sam aux percussions. Onyx a fait ses premières armes en tant que D.J. avant de vouloir proposer ses propres créations. Evoluant dans les univers industriels et dark electro, il voulait mettre sur pied un projet reflétant ses goûts mais proposant un univers musical qui se différenciait de la scène qu'il aimait tant. C'est ainsi qu'il invite Sam, son frère, batteur issu de la scène metal hardcore, à  rejoindre le projet  créé en collaboration avec Dreadfool : Anamorphosis. Après de nombreuses années de création et de collaboration, le projet s'est séparé. Onyx et Sam, les deux frères, sont tout naturellement restés ensemble pour donner naissance à  une nouvelle idée musicale  : Deleritas  ! Inspirés par leurs passions pour le cinéma de genre, les jeux vidéos et leur sensibilité face à  l'actualité, les deux frères composent des morceaux tantôt noirs, tantôt percutants mais faisant toujours échos à  leur ressenti du moment. Ils s'essaient à  différents genres, s'inspirant parfois de la techno, de l'E.B.M. et de l'aggrotech mais tentant toujours d'y mettre leur griffe  . En fin de compte, Deleritas est un projet instrumental riche de la complicité des deux frères, ces derniers s'exprimant le plus naturellement du monde avec leurs machines.

By the end of the eighties, New Beat was born as a real new musical style here in Belgium and in the rest of Europe. At this time, I felt a real passion for these underground parties with few lights, huge sound systems (SARTEC woofers were on top those days) which would always take place in parking lots or old empty factories...  

 

I met in the summer of 1992 David Dantinne (r.i.p mate) who had begun to animate some parties in the Namur suburbs and he showed me the way. One year later, with the help of Dimitri Brandt, Dominique Henrion (both were schoolmates) and Axel Van Weynendaele, we built "Carpe Noctem" and for 2 years we made our first steps in djing.... Due to life events, we split up.  

 

I was the only one who continued and after a short break, I have been contacted in 1996 by Thomas Pierson from at the time best "mobile" in our region, the legendary "Zéro de Conduite". We were a group of 5 (Javier Gonzalez, Nicolas & Thomas Pierson, Nicolas Hughes Dessambre) and I can say that it's to the contact of these party boys that I really progressed, technically as well as humanly.  

 

Since 2001, more and more friends from the north part of Belgium (for the ones who don't know, there are 3 communities in Belgium who respectively speak Dutch, French and German) called me "Stefke van Namen" (In Dutch, it means: Stefke from Namur), and after a short reflection I thought why not ? There is already a "Jack de Marseille" and "Dimitri from Paris" ;-)
