Run en Scène

VAAG is a (post)punk / no wave outfit out of Kortrijk/Ghent, consisting of 4 friends with a long background in hardcore & punk and who have been playing in various bands (such as HAEMERS, HITCH, VVOVNDS, HESSIAN and SUPERGENIUS to name a few).
They started the band from a common love for all things 80ies postpunk, bleak UK Punk and OI! and New/No wave …. We’d like to think we’re putting the PUNK back in POSTPUNK. ;-)
VAAG is another band that springs from the fertile grounds of the Kortrijk aka “K-Town underground” scene that is based around long time running punk & DIY venue The Pit’s.

Tout a commencé en 2001 avec la parution d'un premier EP (baïki).
Ensuite un album complet en 2002 (To sÄ… baïki).
Et un second album en 2003 (Do It Yourself) et sa version pour la France, sortie en 2004.
Une grosse cinquantaine de concerts en Belgique et en France entre 2001 et 2005.
Et puis un petit break... de presque 10 ans.
 
Baiki est tiré du mot polonais “bajki” qui veut dire “des contes, des histoires”.
Et c'est ce que je continue à raconter sur GLOBALIENATION.
